    I notice that today's populist right is willing to experiment with new technologies. For example, left wing photojournalism seems to rely on still images, whereas right wing photojournalism is more likely to use video. Kamala Harris gave an interview to NBC; Trump went on podcasts. And while the left hates AI, the right is happily using it.

      It should be noted that what Americans often define as left (Kamala Harris), most of the world correctly defines as right. Bernie Sanders and AOC are left, but even they are centre-left.

        The populist left are happy to use video too. All UK and Australian politicians are on Twitter and Tiktok and numerous podcasts that then get soundbite sliced.
