Holistic? Mmmm if you are interested in the power dynamics in Sub saharan Africa, I suggest reading Lisa Parks, she did ethnographic research on the dynamics between energy and communication infrastructures in rural communities (mainly Zambia). A bit outdated now, but still very insightful!

A holistic solution is birth control and education.

Doubling the population living in extreme poverty between 2022 and 2050 is insane and will introduce (more) extreme suffering.

But those in control are more worried about human population not increasing fast enough.
